Funny how how I don’t know a single one of these Miami tumblrs. Well come over to this side of the island guys and meet the Others.
We’ve already had two tumblr meetups. One in January and one in april. Working on a third and posibly a fourth for those who can’t make the third.

Well, as I mentioned in this post we had a BBQ being planned for the 23rd but because of the potential storms, it’s going to have to be post poned. We’ll have to plan on tumblr meetup #3 being in September. Also, the “fourth for those who can’t make the third” meetup is news to me, but with a bit of communication I’d be happy to post such information on the miami tumblr for you guys.

I’m sorry to those of you who were unable to make the meetup because of the absolutely horrendous traffic on 395 and the parking situation in Miami Beach. :(

But it was really great to see those people who magically found parking! I’m sure pictures will be floating around soon.

It seemed that a Thursday night worked better for people’s schedules. Should we do a potluck next? Does anyone have any ideas? What days/times are best for you?

Damn you, tumblr, for not creating the “Let people answer this” option sooner!

Can’t wait to see everyone again :)

Tumblr Miami - Sunday Beach Meetup Update

This is the forecast for next weekend. Since it’s a week away, there’s no telling how accurate it is… but if this is still the forecast on Thursday or so, we may have to cancel just incase… I’d rather it be canceled early to avoid any confusion the day before or the day of the meetup. Just a heads up. Will let you know later this week.

Hey guys! I thought it would be a good idea to make a tumblrmiami account. I had actually decided against it intially because I thought it would be pointless, but I realized I’ve been trying to spread the word about Miami meetups via the Map feature, but a lot of people don’t have any contact info or comment boxes. I thought this would be an easy way to communicate to those people, as well as post about any future updates to everyone else.

For those of you who are new, we’ve already had one (successful!) meetup back in January. Around 22+ people gathered at a bar on Lincoln Road. For the most part, no one really knew each other other than the posts we read on each other’s dashboards. We ended up hanging around for about 4 hours, and it was so much fun! So this definitely needs to happen more often.
